Episode 2: Meliz Berg, Cook, Food Writer & Author

In conversation with Meliz Berg, also known as @melizcooks, about how she went from being a music teacher to posting her recipes on social media and starting a whole new career.

An excellent chat with Meliz where we discuss everything from her love for music and how her heritage has influenced her cooking, right through to the pressures of being a working mother and how one day, she should DEFINITELY be releasing an album alongside her cook books.

Meliz’s first book, Meliz’s Kitchen, was an instant Sunday Times Best Seller and is a is a celebration of the melting-pot of delicious spices and fresh flavours that make a Turkish-Cypriot kitchen (I have admittedly made almost every recipe in this book and they are all delicious).

Her second book, Dinner Tonight, can be preordered now for release on 27 June and is a celebration of flavour and the simple joy of cooking.

With many thanks to Meliz for taking the time to chat with me. You can find Meliz on Instagram at @melizcooks, on her website and also her regular appearances on TV shows such as This Morning and James Martin Saturday Morning.
