A BOAT 😂😂😂😂 this is hilarious but I can see your vision! I bought my next home wash stand from fbm a few weeks ago and am super happy with it. And yes you take the rough with the smooth when you open that app 😂
God I love AND loathe FBM, but alas the treasures outweigh the crazies. My absolute best buy was my vintage sink vanity. I was drooling over the Devol one which was £4k and in no way affordable when the FBM gods gifted me a much better one for £50. I’d also say you can get carried away, for example I just bought a boat. A dinghy. £50. I live in the East Midlands. My plan is sand pit for the kids. The neighbours think I’m mad.
Really loved this Lisa. Most of our furniture is second hand from house clearance which we’ve (not me!) painted and distressed. Looks good but I’m not attached to anything so works for me. We want to do the kitchen later this year and something you said a week or so ago finally got me excited about this - go freestanding! I’m now all over it. My image is one of a Greek/Med style space that’s based with white (north facing so I want it to be visible from space to get the light in) with touches of lapis lazuli blue, and lemons! 🍋 Yep. Probably not doable! 😀
Ah this all sounds amazing and is totally doable! I think when it comes to kitchens we have it drilled into you that it needs to be a certain way or have a certain look but really, you can treat it like any other room in your home and make it personal. Greek vibes would totally do it for me 👌🏻 create a space that makes you happy!
Oh enjoy! I’ve only just started selling and my only tip is that if someone says they can collect immediately then do it. I am currently in an endless conversation with someone who wants to collect a £30 table but can’t work out when she can come. Also I do what I do on vinted and if it doesn’t sell in two days, I reduce it pronto. Things are only worth what people are prepared to pay, no matter how much we think they are worth! Enjoy the market it sounds fab!
