Thoughts For A Friday

Some random musings - what I've watched, bought, worn, eaten, read and lusted after this week including patriotic outfits, extortionate dinners, homeware perfection, good underwear and Ryan Serhant.

This week, my youngest Leo has been doing work experience with me. When I first came up with the idea, it seemed genius. I could teach him how to video edit, to caption, to use the camera function to the full on his phone. I could instruct him in the joy of tripods, of flat lays, of getting the lighting right. We started at 10am on Monday and by precisely 10.10am it became apparent that he already had a significant amount of knowledge, in some cases possibly exceeding my own (not hard, in fairness). So instead, I’ve set him daily projects - a day in the life of Buddy the dog (okay, Buddy doesn’t have a packed industrious schedule but he took him for a walk), a stop motion, a bedroom transition. I’m currently on the train to London and I left him filming a chocolate brownie tutorial using an overhead tripod with ring light. It won’t be long before he’ll be setting up his own creator Instagram account and doing brand campaigns, ha.
