Episode 21. Desks in guest rooms, making dark rooms lighter, adding art to pattern, investing in rental pieces and the controversial painting over the wallpaper.
Good morning all and it’s been a beautiful weekend here in York so far, with limited dilemmas occurring, plenty of warmth and a lot of food. Is there much that is better than a burger, a cheese slice and a nice cold glass of wine? I think not. The moment the sun comes out we are straight to the supermarket to stock up; there is not much better than eating in the fresh air and it’s a massive mood booster. Give me a pretty table, a big bunch of flowers, some appropriately delish nibbles and an afternoon spent with friends and I am done. Perfection.
There’s been a gap in our family though this weekend as Buddy, our dog, has gone on holiday. I know, I know. This isn’t a normal state of affairs, but every few months, Ellas boyfriends family take him away for the weekend for a full on doggy mini break as they no longer have a dog and enjoy spending time with him. This isn’t as confusing as it sounds - Buddy’s house is his second home as every time we go away, he goes to stay with them (yes, we are CRAZY lucky to have this situation going on). Anyway, this weekend, he’s hit Robins Hood Bay and is very likely to come back absolutely knackered. He loves the beach. Hopefully he’ll hold back on the surfing but you never know, ha.
