Last year, I did a bi weekly Wednesday series where we looked at each space in my house and discussed what I did, why I did it and why it worked for me. Breaking down the room to work out why and how it works can be really helpful when you’re planning out your own spaces and hopefully gave you some ideas for decoration of your own.

I also talked about about regaining my interior inspiration mojo, in particular on my social channels where I found that, due to a propensity for hitting the follow button indiscriminately, I’d stopped being inspired by what I was seeing on my feed. I had previously spent many years building up a lovely Saved posts file which I referred to regularly, but I had stopped adding to it due to a feed filled with trending Reels. Oh, and cats. Lots of cats. You can read what I did to resolve that concerning situation here.

I’m now truly back in the game with a newly smart Insta home feed filled with beautiful spaces that make me want to immediately shift around my furniture, whack a load on eBay and paint walls with abandon. It’s made the biggest difference to my interior mindset and I’m also finding that I’m spending more time on Pinterest (I didn’t think that were possible, but yes) to compile files of inspiration for possible future homes. Very satisfying.

Anyway, with the new year now fully kicked in, I thought that I would introduce you to a few spaces of beauty from my newly refreshed Saved files, starting this week with a glorious dining room in the home of Bianca Hall. Bianca has been writing an interior blog called French For Pineapple for well over ten years and is a designer, writer and stylist based in Hackney, North London. Her home is a total dream on many counts; she has an excellent art collection and an amazing eye for colour and contrast and I knew that she would be a great example to kick this new alternate Wednesday series off with a bang. Let’s start with some photographs of the space.
