A Short List Of Things Bringing Joie

Some random musings - what I've watched, bought, worn, eaten, read and lusted after this week including Greek sandals, swimming costumes, spicy cheese dips, good art and places in the sun.

The last week was spent on our summer holiday to Kefalonia and this weeks newsletter ‘may’ be slightly inspired by the gloriousness of Greece. I bloody LOVE Greece. Of all the countries, Greece is my favourite. I love the weather, I love the people, I love the landscape, I love the food and I love the whole laid back lifestyle. I aspire to this lifestyle big time and ONE DAY, Rodney, I will achieve it. Okay, it might take a while but the little white house with a sunny courtyard and a view of the sea will be mine. Eventually. Anyway, until then I will head to Leeds Bradford and jump on a Jet2 whenever I can to practice living the dream.

Rather annoyingly, the Jet2 plane appears to have been carrying more than sunbaked passengers as I’ve returned sick. Returning home sick after a week away, watching your holiday glow diminish within days is slightly annoying and I’ve been quietly (my family would say not so quietly) fuming about it whilst knocking back the Lemsip Cold & Flu. The sun has also been glorious here in York which has added to my fury as I scoff back the jacket potatoes and baked beans due to the massive carbohydrate craving which always signifies that I’m not on par. However, today I am feeling MUCH better which is excellent news for all as I’m a terrible patient.
