Thoughts For A Friday
Some random musings before the weekend begins - what I've watched, bought, worn, eaten, read and lusted after this week including cushions, fish finger sandwiches, denim, wine and Daniel Daggers.
Another Bank Holiday weekend has come around quickly and I am not complaining - as I write this, I am about to swing into action as we have family arriving from London for the weekend and I cannot wait. Our plans include talking, drinking wine (see below for what), eating copious crisps and, to be honest, not much else. This week has been wet and windy - a visit to London on Wednesday transformed me from GHD curl perfection to Crystal Tipps before I even got to the venue - but apparently it’s perking up tomorrow, not a moment too soon for Joe to crack out his BBQ tongs. Joe is a reluctant BBQer and generally undertakes all cooking tasks under duress - as with DIY, I need to warn him at least three days in advance of any BBQ plans so that he can mentally prepare himself for the activity. It doesn’t matter how well I prepare, I can always guarantee that five minutes before kick off he’ll be shouting ‘WHERE ARE THE TONGS?’ or worse, ‘I’ve run out of gas’ which has happened on more than one occasion and I end up cooking the whole lot in the oven. Sigh. Pray for me, please.
Anyway, very happy it’s Friday so I thought I’d do a little run down of what I’ve watched, bought, worn, eaten, read and lusted after this week. Just for fun. Hope you all have the nicest of Bank Holiday weekends!
