Design Dilemmas
Episode 7: This week, read on for chat about painting your hallway in colour, garden storage, the bath vs shower quandary, wall light locations and the best in holiday totes.
My biggest dilemma this week was how many episodes of Real Housewives Of Beverley Hill is it acceptable to watch in one sitting? (spoiler: five) I am SO late to the party on this whole Real Housewives thing that I’m surprised I’m even allowed entrance but I am totally loving it. It helps, of course, that Joe is working away during the week and I have free rein of the remote control with no discussion required. No compromise agreements necessary (I like property programmes; Joe likes anything involving gangs, fighting and car chasing. Yawn). I started watching purely for Kyle Richards who briefly appeared alongside husband Mauricio in Buying Beverley Hills as basically, I wanted to know the low down on their marriage break up (no judgement thank you, I have already judged myself and it wasn’t good). Anyway, I went in at Season 9 - soz, RHOBH purists - and am OBSESSED. The arguments! The crying! The bitching behind the backs! The shopping! The fact they have glam squads JUST TO GO TO LUNCH! Sigh. I have four entire Seasons left to go and I’m not sorry about it.
Right, back to your dilemmas and this week, we have a cornucopia of quandaries for your viewing pleasure starting with how to stop your outdoor space morphing into a dumping ground with my top tips for garden storage. Plus how do you decide on a bath or shower when you’ve only got one room and wall light chat - where to put them and, in fact, do we even need them? Controversial, but read on to find out why. And finally, painting your hall when you want to use colour but don’t know where to start and most importantly, holiday tote bags that can double up for both plane and beach. We know our priorities.
